Nowadays there are lots of ways for you to receive your money from online sales. A merchant account will be required for you to be able to process credit/debit cards online.
Simply contact your local bank and open a merchant account. If you would however like to cut out your bank manager, approach worldpay or protx. They offer an online Internet merchant account.
Worldpay charge around £350 for setup, then £160 a year. They charge 5% on credit cards and 50p for debit cards.
Protx charge around £150 for setup, plus a rental fee of £20 a month. But their credit/debit rates are a lot cheaper than worldpay.

We also now offer an online merchant account through Optimal Payments. They usually charge a £100 setup fee and then £20 a month. Their transaction fees are usually around 3.5%. This offer is only available to customers who purchase a domain/hosting package directly through us.

If you aren't keen on purchasing a merchant account, you may wish to consider signing up with Nochex. They are becoming very popular these days for processing card transactions over their secure server.

If you however would prefer a cheaper alternitave for £45PA, we are now offering a reseller package for just £25PA. The secure server works in the same way as our main package, but clients share the server. This enables us to control the amount of secure servers we set up. And of course a is cheaper alternitave for our clients.
